It is our duty to learn vedas and spread it as much as we can; because this is the very foundation of sanatana dharma. It is on the veda the whole edifice of sanatana dharma is built. So if we are longing to preserve, protect and spread sanatana dharma, then the first duty is to spread vedas. How can we spread vedas? There is only one way and that is learning and teaching, svadhyaya and pravachana. There is no other way. If we are printing millions of books and keeping it of course it will be preserved in a way, but it is not the way to protect vedas or to protect sanatana dharma. It will become ornaments in the library. The way to preserve and protect sanatana dharma is learning and teaching. This is the only way. So from time immemorial we can see great rishis and acharyas out of their love and compassion they shared this knowledge with the world. They did not keep it in dark rooms instead they exhorted it unto the world. They called aloud “Oh children of immortality you come and hear. You learn.” This was their call.
